L3 Ocean Systems is a leading worldwide supplier of acoustic undersea warfare systems, having designed, manufactured, and supported a broad range of compact, lightweight, high performance acoustic systems for navies around the world.  L3 Ocean Systems offers employees a rewarding environment where you have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business.    We are searching for a dynamic Financial Analyst Sr. to join our team in Sylmar, CA.   Job Summary: Work closely with program managers to develop, track, analyze, and maintain program budgets.  Provide visibility on program status through program planning and control activities including estimate at completion (EAC), status reporting, and risk analysis.       Key responsibilities include: - Maintaining timely and accurate EAC's for assigned programs.  - Preparing variance analysis in support of program and functional management.  - Earned Value Management System reporting (if applicable). - Perform financial analysis and prepare reports to ensure that programs are within agreed upon financial parameters and government cost control guidelines as well as in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.  - Prepare accurate government cost plus/T&M type billings and entry into ECRAFT. - Prepare program charts for monthly program reviews; attend meeting.  - Assist with determining anticipated staffing requirements for assigned programs.  Qualifications Attributes/Skills Required: - Experience in developing Estimates at Completion (EAC's) on major programs. - Hands on working knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems a must. - Experience with preparing Cost Plus invoices and ECRAFT submittal to the Government. - Experience in handling DCMA/DCAA audits. - Customer driven. - Strong analytical skills. - Excellent communicator. - Committed to timely/accurate results. - Strong business acumen. - Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects. - High proficiency in PC applications (especially Microsoft Office Suite). - Experience with Costpoint is a plus.   Experience/Education Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; advanced degree or certification a plus but not required. - 5-10 years related experience in Program Finance in a manufacturing environment (defense industry and/or government contracting). - Familiarity with Government contracting and FAR/ DFAR guidelines is preferred. - Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and leadership in making business decisions. - Deltek, Costpoint and IFS System experience helpful.     At L3 Ocean Systems we offer a competitive salary along with a generous benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life insurance, a 9/80 workweek, paid vacation & sick time and an on-site gym.   Equal Opportunity Employer - minorities / females / veterans / individuals with disabilities / sexual orientation / gender identity.   US Security Clearance Required :    None Schedule :    Full-time Shift :    Day - 1st Travel :    No Organization :    Division - Ocean Systems-20000059 Job Level   :  Individual Contributor Job Posting   :  Oct 16, 2018, 11:11:27 PM Job   :   Financial Analysis Requisition ID   102745

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
