Senior Director, Business Development

Job Summary The Director of Business Development is a key part of the Esterline Control & Communications Systems (ECCS) management team that oversees the strategic planning, business development, strategic marketing and marketing-communications activities for the 5 business units that comprise ECCS Platform. The Director of Strategic Marketing is a high visibility position. He/she manages the Marketing and BD team and works closely with the ECCS Business Units and Platform leadership to develop & lead execution of both short term and long term plans. The Marketing and BD team collaborates with Business Unit leaders, Business Unit Product Management and Platform Sales teams to assist them in setting strategies and long term marketing and business plans as well as external Marketing Communications plans and activities. He/She will also collaborate with Esterline Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communication and with other Platforms. Primary Responsibilities Leads and coordinates the development of the Annual Platform Strategic Business Statement (SBS), in collaboration with Platform, BU's and Corporate Strategic Marketing, and is responsible for developing and maintaining the strategic calendar and is accountable for its annual deliverables Develop strategies to deliver top line organic growth in Commercial and Military Aero and Defense markets. Develops and directs the implementation of key positioning and capture strategies and tactics to promote ECCS solutions and influence customer requirements or funding for key programs in commercial and defense markets worldwide. In collaboration with Business Unit leadership and product managers, guides - and at times leads - New Product business case development, roadmap development and participates in the positioning & prioritization of R & D activities based on market research and development of strategies for these cases. Leads the development and elaboration of External Product launch and Go-to-Market planning in collaboration with Product Line management and the Sales teams. Responsible for the development and implementation of a Platform process for Market & Competitive intelligence gathering and dissemination, and collaborates closely with Leadership, Sales and Product Management to ensure a cohesive and ongoing understanding of our market segments, trends, competitors, and emerging market opportunities Leads the development of the ECCS branding and positioning strategies & policies for ECCS products and services, working in collaboration with the Business Units, the Platform Executive Staff and Corporate Strategic Marketing & Communications. Accountable for the development, elaboration & execution of an external marketing communications plan that aligns to the strategic Business Plan and supports the near and long term goals of the business. Leads the development & maintains the integrity of a cohesive and high quality set of Sales & Marketing tools to be used by sales teams across the platform. Responsible for the development of marketing collateral including advertising, brochures, demonstration equipment and samples units, videos, press relationships and media interactions, etc. Accountable for the development and execution of our Global trade show & event planning and presence, messaging, collaboration & PR related Global Marketing initiatives. Responsible for the direct leadership of a team or Marketing Communications and Business Development staff. Ability to travel as required, up to 50% or more at given times. Ensures compliance to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above. Understand and live by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies. Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business. Masters or other Advanced degree preferred. Proven success in Product Management, or Marketing & Strategy/Business Development in Aerospace and Defense market Demonstrated leadership success in development and motivation of people - experience using strong coaching skills. 10+ years' experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding planning and organizational skills. Military operational experience or Commercial Aviation crew experience is an asset

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
