Elect Design and Analy Engr Lev 2 (early career)

Spectrolab, Inc. , a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is seeking a Product Engineer (Level 2 early career) to join our Space Photovoltaic Products team. This position is located at our manufacturing facility in Sylmar, California.
This position requires interface with internal and external customers and suppliers. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, knowledge in semiconductor devices, willing to learn solar panel design tools and work on time constrained projects. The ideal candidate will be capable of reading/generating electrical schematics and technical specifications, and have hands-on experience with electronics and/or environmental test, enabling the same individual to seamlessly support their assigned programs from design analysis and verification test plan definition through manufacturing implementation and final test and delivery to customer.
Review customer requests for quotation and prepare proposals for space solar panel products.
Perform radiation, power, mass, EMC, reliability/FMEA, and DFMAT analyses to optimize the product design within the confines of schedule and cost objectives.
Translate customer requirements into documentation for parts and materials procurement, product manufacturing and testing.
Review manufacturing documents for assigned programs and support manufacturing for correct implementation of the design.
Identify long lead materials, tooling and testing requirements for the product.
Generate product Bill of Materials (BOM).
Prepare product design review documents and design analysis reports, and make effective presentations to internal Technology Change Review Board and customers.
Generating and/or debugging custom code in VBA and/or LabView, as is the ability to set up and query databases in SQL Qualify new products and write qualification reports.
Provide technical support to the marketing team and customers.
Interact with suppliers and peer groups within Spectrolab for accurate and timely realization of the product.
Perform product non-conformance and failure analysis; identify and lead implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
Set up and run simple thermal and/or stress models, support design analysis and documentation for high intensity illuminations products, in addition to solar products, are also considered as pluses.
The ideal candidate should be flexible, adaptable to meet changing priorities and self-motivated. Must be adept at working in a fast paced environment to complete scheduled milestones as planned.

Basic Qualifications

Strong interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
Ability to read, interpret, and generate electrical schematics and technical specifications
Candidate must be able to think clearly under pressure, to provide timely decisions for resolution of manufacturing issues
Quick learner; able to assess inputs from a variety of sources and provide clear and concise decisions and dispositions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to generate and/or debug and use custom code to streamline and mistake-proof data capture, data and/or design analysis, trending and reporting (prior experience with VBA and/or Labview and/or SQL are particularly desired)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor, Master or Doctor of Science degree in electrical/electronic engineering, physics, material science, computer science, chemistry, or other related field of study
Basic understanding of semiconductor physics
Hands-on experience with electronics and/or environmental test
Ability to set up and run simple thermal and/or stress models
Ability to support evening and weekend work, as needed
Typical Education / Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
