Staff Engineer, Systems Engineering

Position Summary
The Staff Systems Engineer position will focus on Design and Definition of new products as well as strategy for the Remote Care organization within Systems Engineering. This engineer will lead team members during various phases of product development and be required to participate in the design and definition of new products. They will find solutions to complex product development problems. Develop system level design documentation and requirements specification, working with marketing, engineering and other stakeholders. Provide specialized functions such as algorithm development, user interface development, or data analysis methodology development. Develop and follow specialized procedures in executing tests with documentation of results. Develop working relationships with cross functional groups.
Main Responsibilities
Perform product definition, system architecture, requirements writing, requirements management, requirements analysis, risk analysis, hazard analysis, and/or design control documentation.
Participate in strategy discussions with senior management and marketing for the Remote Care organization.
Develop design processes.
Integrate analytical and performance related elements with software, hardware, and electronics system components.
Communicate effectively and participate on cross functional development teams with good negotiating skills to direct multi-disciplinary teams toward high quality solutions.
Failure to properly define requirements, integrate all systems, verify/validate requirements could result in product introduction delays and quality issues.
Qualifications
BS in engineering or physical science or related field or equivalent. MS degree preferred. 10 years product development experience in Engineering or physical science. Experience credit for advanced degrees beyond BS (2 years for Masters; 4 years for Doctorate). Experience in general engineering/science principals and laboratory skills. Strong knowledge of defined development process that is consistent with ISO or FDA design control standards/requirements. Experience in one or more of the following: Electrical, mechanical, software, mathematical, chemical or biochemical technologies as they pertain to the design, integration, evaluation and commercialization of medical device systems. Ability to work on many projects concurrently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
