Electronic Technician

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Technician in our Test Engineering Department. Electronics Technician will support complex electronics to build, repair, and troubleshoot for NPI and R&D equipment; in-house calibration for custom designed test equipment for NPI and Production. Within minimum supervision and at various levels of involvement, work with circuit card assemblies, custom ATEs, and test cables.
What You Will Do
Serve as a primary interface for in-house equipment calibration, monthly collection of Test Engineering calibration due items, and build/repair in-house equipment
Coordinate with outside vendors for COTS calibration as required
Read schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings; performs test and calibration procedures; builds ATEs and cables
Maintains record of testing, calibration datasheets, repairs of test equipment, and enter data into asset tracking database
Collaborate with Operations to schedule down time on test equipment/stations, communicate delays, and respond to internal customer requests
Provide repair/calibration quotes to internal customers
Interact with various Engineers within the organization related to NPI projects to investigate reports of test equipment malfunction, troubleshoot down to component level, and make all necessary repairs
Collaborate with internal customers to develop ATEs, streamline production equipment processes as part of continuous improvement
Responsible for ensuring internal customer satisfaction and timely turn-around on all equipment and service
Complies with company policy and industry standards for quality, ESD protection, and EH&S
May train less experienced Technicians as necessary
Performs ESS related duties which may be assigned
Maintains the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
Understands and lives by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies
What You Will Bring
Technical School or Associates Degree in Electronics (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 - 6 years of electronics and calibration experience in commercial or military laboratory
High-level proficiency with electronics, ability to read electrical and assembly schematics
Familiarity with ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 and ISO 17025
Ability to use electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, function generators, video signal generator, etc.) ATEs; GPIB, Serial, Ethernet; ARINC-429 RxTx; EMC/EMI cable shielding and termination
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs ? Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access
Participate in electrical laboratory preventive maintenance program and maintains workspace to EH&S standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Dedication to continuous improvement, outstanding organizational skills, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects for multiple internal customers
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 10%

ASQ CCT Certification
Familiarity with VB.Net, C, C#, and LabVIEW
Familiarity with ES

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
