Key Responsibilities & Success Factors
The Manufacturing Process Engineer for Transparency Product is responsible for Transparency Armor, Opticor, and Casting Urethane product. He or she will be responsible for the three mentioned products sustaining as well as their manufacturing processes from incoming material to shipping parts to the customer. He or she is also responsible for maintaining, documenting and upgrading of the current and establishing new manufacturing process capabilities. Identify & solve problems, document root cause and corrective actions, submit reports and results to management, submit presentations & recommendations on how to reduce scrap. Implement improvements in manufacturing areas of process stabilization, repeatability, control, efficiencies of labor and time and cost reduction in scrap and rework.
This person will also generate process flows, support manufacturing operators with tools, equipment, and all necessary documents. Have ownership of all technical documents, BOO/BOM, Process Specifications, Control of Production Process Change, PFMEA, and repair procedures. Support internal activities associated with successful launch of new products. Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Meet and support division goals & objectives for all internal and external customers. Provide group's input for cost estimates and proposal data in support of TSR's.
This person will be a technical leader in the cross-functional Transparency Armor, Opticor and Casting Urethane to the Operation Team.

Experience and Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 4- 6 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, or a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with over 2 years of experience. Accustomed with all type of technical procedures, documentations listed under Job Function. Communicate and share information, attention to detail, problem solving, solve conflicts, build strong work relationships, and ability to utilize PPG resources such as tooling, maintenance, and automation. Must have experience and training with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, MRP, DOE, FMEA, Fishbone, 5WHY's, Problem solving, & value stream mapping. Must be able to hold Lean KAIZAN event and demonstrate results. Prepare and independently run successful DOE's. Military Clearance is a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
