Follow all PPG procedures and policies. Use and interpret tools and engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal and/or written instructions to accomplish assignment. Use all types of power and non-power equipment/tools, both hand held and floor mounted to accomplish work assignments or operations. Must strive to maintain efficient team dynamics, and productively and positively work within a diverse team environment. Express and discuss job/task related concerns in a productive, professional manner. Meet daily objectives by utilizing technical and non-technical employees including utilization of TAKT time; make every effort to perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required. Communicate safety standards, and role model ideal safe work practices at all times. Self-starter who can work with limited supervision.
Skills Required:
Rework/Repair/Trouble shooting/Problem solving (SPC)
High school diploma or GED required
Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
Work with engineers as needed to support tool building/fabrication
Inspection Tools (Micrometer, feeler gauge, height gauge, depth micrometer, dial indicator, levels, squares)
Repair/Modify critical equipment ( cooling towers, Air Conditioning units, casting machine, polishers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, controllers, Vacuum pumps, Stretch machines, autoclaves, ovens, PLC)
Kanban utilization for all materials and supplies
Technical Support (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic)
Trouble Shooting (Hydraulic/Pneumatic)
Fork lift certification
Welding ( TIG, MIG, Steel and Aluminum)
Operate Power Tools including, but not limited to; band saws, grinders, drill presses, shear, manual press, sanders, and pipe bender
Behavioral Skills required:
Express and discuss job/task related concerns in a productive, professional manner
Follow through on requests and tasks assigned
Productively and positively work within a diverse team environment
Able to share points of view, and provide constructive feedback to and receive feedback from fellow team members
Promote teamwork
Requires: Must be able to read, write, report and communicate status of daily maintenance activities in a timely manner to direct supervisor, manager, and other shifts and teams. Read and interpret work instructions and documented procedures. Able to understand customer specifications and requirements, and provide full support to achieve department Key Process Indicator targets and goals. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Work with some solvents and chemicals, and wear all required PPE necessary to complete work tasks. Must follow all EH&S rules and regulations at all times. Good record keeping skills are necessary. Computer experience required. Must be able to work overtime as necessary, per business needs. Must be able to work 2nd shift and/or be reassigned shift if it is dictated by business needs, and any additional duties required by leadership.
