We are searching for a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Sylmar, CA.
Position
Responsibilities:
Lead a small team of Software Engineers in the maintenance and upgrade of existing code base for multiple sonar systems
Develop new applications, training modules and implement bug fixes and new features in existing code base
Develop code using C and Intel signal processing libraries
Port existing C-code from a PowerPC onto an Intel processor
Participation in the design and implementation of overall software control system architecture
Perform unit testing and assist with end-to-end integration and system validation
Provide technical support to Business Development for proposals and IR&D projects
Interface with other functional Engineering groups, Program Management, Business Development, Operations and External Customers
Position Requirements:
MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years leading software development efforts in an aerospace environment
Minimum 10 years developing software in a real-time processing system.
Experience with C , VxWorks, Linux, X Windows, C , Ethernet, Qt, QML, Java Script on Power PC and Intel
Implementation of signal processing algorithms in a real-time environment
Must be current with Mil-COTS processing hardware architecture, and development tools
System architecture experience in Object Oriented using UML design tools.
Proficient in C and MATLAB.
Must have experience developing multi-threaded programs on a Linux OS.
Should have a working knowledge of Intel math and signal processing libraries e.g., MKL, IPP.
Experience in sonar, radar, communications or related field is a plus.
Experience with Qt a cross-platform development package for UI development is desired.
Knowledge of signal processing concepts digital filtering, FFT processing, etc. will be beneficial
