Tutor Perini Corporation seeks a legal analyst with 10 or more years of law firm and corporate (in-house) experience to join the Company's Legal Department supporting the Company's legal operations.
Candidates should possess excellent academic credentials and have strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
The Legal Analyst will assist in the analysis of the Company's legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
In the legal analyst role, you will collaborate with the legal team in reviewing contracts and performing case analyses.
You will be expected to stay updated with changes in local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Turning complex legal concepts into easy-to-understand pieces of information is critical in this position.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing valuable legal research and input in protecting the legal interests of the company.
This position will involve regular direct interaction with senior executives and other personnel involved in all facets of the Company's operations.
The position will report to the Company's Chief Legal Officer.
Coordinate and distribute critical analysis reports to the Company's finance, risk, and operations staff members as necessary.
Examines legality of existing company rules and policies Drafts and revises legal policies as needed Manages the Company's business and contractor licenses Tracks and maintains a repository of legal resources and processes Track, audit and compile historical data and maintain data files Aggregate data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display results Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects Conduct legal research and gather related legal information Decipher laws, rulings and regulations in legal documents Assemble, proofread and amend drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, policies and other legal documents Daily record keeping with electronic and physical filing of documents Synthesize and organize information, and create reference tools for easy use by the team All-purpose administrative duties i.

responding to correspondence, answering telephone calls, preparing expenses reports Performs ad hoc tasks as required REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in business or technical degree and a minimum of 4-7 years' experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
Law firm or in-house experience, preferred.
Must be proficient in Excel and Power Point software.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data Quantitative and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program Strong business acumen and a self-starter, with an entrepreneurial roll up your sleeves attitude Collaborative, highly motivated, pro-active team player with a desire to learn and expand skill set in a result-oriented environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team A strong work ethic, attention to detail and sense of professional accountability Highly effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas and issues clearly and concisely.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret a wide variety of complex legal documents and agreements.
Ability to effectively manage time, handle multiple projects concurrently, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Able and willing to work 5 days a week in our Corporate Headquarters in Sylmar, CA Expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
